Hello, my name is Miwa. I’m originally from Gunma Prefecture and now live in Tokyo with my husband and our two children. Food has always been an important part of my life. My brother runs an Italian restaurant, and when I was a child, my grandmother owned a deli shop. Inspired by them, I studied culinary arts in high school and then attended a nutrition school before working at a cake shop.
Curiosity about the world led me to spend time abroad on working holidays in Portland and Vancouver, encouraged by cousins who lived in the U.S. and Canada. These experiences deepened my love for connecting with people from different cultures.
My passion for hospitality started early. Growing up, I often watched my mother warmly welcome guests with home-cooked meals. Combined with my parents’ love of travel, this shaped my own interest in people and places around the world.
By combining our love for travel, food, and local culture, we hope to make you feel at home in Japan while giving you memories that stay with you long after your trip. For us, guiding bicycle tours isn’t just about the ride—it’s about the conversations, the smiles, and the shared discoveries along the way.
I enjoy discovering delicious local restaurants, cozy cafés, peaceful parks, and hidden shrines around Tokyo. Through cycling, I want to share these special spots with visitors and show a side of the city that feels both local and welcoming. Seeing guests smile as they experience Japan through my eyes is what inspired me to become a cycling tour guide. Join us for a ride, and let’s explore Japan together—one pedal at a time.
